Guess I need to explain this picture. We didn't realize it had been posted on our web album. Yes that is exactly what you think it is, marijuana. I thought it would be a good addition to our food storage. Kidding. According to our neighbor Jeff, Iowa used to grow marijuana during WWII for the hemp to make rope and clothes. This is what is left over. My neighbor tells me she calls it ditch weed. This plant was growing behind Jeff's garage along the fence that separates our yards. The plants come back every year in spite of being sprayed. I have found four plants growing in our own lawn. One of which I haven't pulled up yet. Guess I should do that.
